The Township of Lake of Bays is in the process of defining a 5 year strategic plan. There will be three community meetings

July 14 at 6:30pm in Baysville
July 16 at 6:30pm in Dorset
July 18 at 9:00am in Dwight

These meetings are designed to get community involvement and voice your opinion on how the Township should spend your tax dollars. If you can not attend one of these meetings, there is an online questionnaire at

If you can't fill out the online form, paper forms will be available at the library or contact me at fred.landry@sympatico.ca or 767-3951 and I'll get a form to you.

This is your opportunity to influence how your tax dollars are spent. Please voice your opinion.

May 13, 2009 - Bulletin board removed

Hi everyone. As you may have noticed we decided to remove the forum from the website. There are a few reasons for doing so. 1) it's rather large and complicated to maintain on a part-time basis, 2) it hasn't been very heavily utilized and 3) it was starting to be abused by the low-life spammers on the internet.

We'll stick with this simple news page for now and keep our eyes open for easy ways to improve our little online community.
