If your child is interest in water bugs, salamanders, frogs and turtles, he/she could contact our Lake Stewarts for further information.

Please update you Directory Information when your Director comes around to collect the yearly dues of $10.00. The money collected plays mostly for the picnic which is fun for everyone. It also covers the cost of flyers, newsletters, stamps and membership in associations that the general membership approved at a meeting. We would like as many email addresses as we can get which will help with mailing costs.

    ROADS

I have contacted the township regarding the road conditions and I am waiting to hear back from them.

    BOAT LAUNCH

I have also been in touch with the Township with regard to the boat launch. If you have a great concern regarding this issue, I have been instructed to remind our members to fill out the Survey on Township website - Trails link. There is a spot on the survey requesting our input. Tell them that you want the access to Dickie Lake improved. This may open the door to have our access marked on a map as a public access point. If this not what you want, then you also have to let them know. As president, I would like to know how many people want the public access area improved and how many don't care and those who don't. . You can email your thoughts to paula.elliott@sympatico.ca please in the subject mention Dickie Lake because if I don't recognize you email address I won't open the email.

    CONSIDERATION FOR EACH OTHER

The owner, Ann Russell, of Russell Island (Blueberry Island) wants to let members of the association know that she now has a regular lot on Dickie Lake. As owner of this large island, she invites all to enjoy the scenic beauty offered by the island, however, she wishes to impress upon all that it is to be respected as private property. Private property signs have been posted and should be respected by all. Ann is not looking to the Association to do any policing but for us to publish her wishes.

I hope that over the summer I will have the opportunity to meet many of the association members. The picnic is an excellent venue to meet the old and new members.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER. Paula Elliott, President.
